Looking to make a lasting impact in your community? Women Build is your chance to team up with other women to help a female-led family achieve their dream of homeownership. By raising funds and working hands-on to build a home, you’ll be empowering others to change their lives and strengthen our community. No experience is needed—Habitat staff and skilled volunteers will guide you every step of the way. Along the journey, you’ll learn new skills, make new friends, and create unforgettable memories.
This year, you’ll be working alongside Raquel, the future homeowner! We can’t wait for her journey to continue as the community comes together to build her home.
Raquel heard about the Homeownership Program through a coworker who has been in her Habitat home for 15 years. Raquel applied for the program in 2023, and hopes to own her own home to avoid rent increases and provide a safe space for her two children to grow up. She is a kindergarten teacher and loves her job. Raquel has completed her yoga teacher training and loves to share that passion with her children at home as well as at school.
